Premium Sweets

The Bengali specialist, and the easiest Diwali order in Mississauga. Premium Sweets says it makes over 100 handcrafted Bengali and South Asian sweets, with a head office and showroom on Tomken Road and a second store at Erin Mills and the 403. For Diwali it sells limited-edition gift boxes and asks you to order in advance for delivery to skip the lines. Go for ras malai, rasgulla and khir mohon; the line at the counter is the downside.

Brar's (Erin Mills and Brampton)

Brar's started as a sweet shop in 1986 and is now a vegetarian food brand with restaurants: Brar's Erin Mills on Eglinton Ave W in Mississauga, plus Brar's Grand Buffet on Advance Blvd and Trinity Common in Brampton. Its 2025 DiwaliFest ran four days of sweets in support of cancer research. Jalebi and gulab jamun are the classic orders. Its sites do not list Diwali boxes, so ask in store.

Shirin Mahal Bakery and Sweets

A Pakistani sweets and bakery shop at Eglinton and Dixie in Mississauga, with branches in Brampton, Milton and Toronto. Its site posts prices for its tray sweets (gulab jamun, kalakand, chum chum, rasgulla, habshi halwa, walnut and carrot halwa) and was updating its photos in October 2026. It is halal-certified, which matters for some households. It does not advertise Diwali boxes, so ask for an assorted tray.

Kwality Sweets and Restaurant

Serving Brampton since 1996, with a large dine-in room on Steeles Ave E west of Torbram and more than 70 Indian and Bengali sweets in past coverage. Its 2026 site lists locations in Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto and promotes Diwali-Dussehra dry fruit boxes, which make an easy gift for a household that already has too much sugar. Khoya barfi and kaju or pista mithai are what people go for.

Kesar's Sweets and Restaurant

A vegetarian sweet shop and restaurant founded in 2017, with two Brampton stores: Hurontario St in the north and Mountainash Rd. It advertises a Diwali Sweets Mela at both locations (Oct 17-20) featuring kaju katli, motichoor ladoo, gulab jamun, barfi and peda, and it sells gift-ready Diwali boxes plus seasonal ghevar. Uber Eats delivers from both, which helps when the store is packed.

Mithai Sweet Factory

A family-run Brampton shop on Glidden Rd that is the most organised about Diwali 2026: its site has a dedicated section with assorted mithai gift boxes in several sizes, bulk orders for offices and temples, and pre-orders closing Nov 4. Posted prices include laddoo at $4.99 per lb and barfi at $5.99 per lb, with rasmalai, gajar halwa, milk cake, gulab jamun and kaju katli on the menu.

Bikanervala Brampton

The Brampton outlet of the Delhi sweets and snacks chain, on Goreway Dr. You go for brand consistency: burfi, laddu, peda, kaju and khoya sweets, assorted boxes, and packaged rasgulla, soan papdi and soan cake that keep for days, which is handy for gifting to people you won't see until after Nov 8. It also does baklava and kunafa. The gifting menu has a Festive Special collection and hampers.

The Mithai Maharaja

A 100% vegetarian, eggless sweet shop on Williams Pkwy in east Brampton that does mithai and a full savoury menu under one roof: barfi, ladoo and gulab jamun, halwa and pinni, plus fusion sweets for anyone bored of the classics. Over Here Toronto's Oct 2026 Diwali guide picked it for mixing dry-fruit sweets with milk sweets on one tray. It does not list Diwali boxes online, so ask in store or by phone.
